The plot contains three self-contained volumes:
House 1: is a studio which has a double bed and freestanding bath.
House 2: a central one bedroom stone kalivi with a large living area, envisaged as a central meeting place.
House 3: with mezzanine offers 2 bedrooms and 2 showers rooms, living and kitchen. Overall sleeps 8 in 4 beds, 4 baths+ pool shower and WC.
Each house has an integrated kitchen with fridge, oven, hob, dishwasher, Jotul woodburning stove for winter. Clothes washer in utility area of H2. There are double sofa beds in Houses 2 and 3 should they be needed. Rainwater is collected via the gutters into a central underground tank, it is pumped up to each house and heated by solar panels. The prime concern in the construction was to fit in with the natural environment and protect against humidity - each space is completely isolated internally making it cool in summer and warm in winter. Each house and the pool is connected to the lightening conductor for complete safety in the occasional dramatic storms.
The garden has been planted with pear, pomegranate, orange, lemon, tangerine, fig, almond, chestnut, apple and plum trees and numerous herbs. Wild flowers will be left to self-propagate as much as possible. The garden has amazing views over the sea scanning from the south Evia, Skiathos, Volos, Mount Olympus and Alonissos to the north. The forest and mountains of Delphi lead south towards Skopelos town 20 km away. The house overlooks old Glossa town with shops, bars and tavernas 2 km north. There are magical walks from the house even to the Mama Mia chapel at the bottom of the hill!
