Located in a beautiful forest setting on the Tuscany Umbria border, this unique 16th century church, presbytery and guest cottage were restored from scratch by the current owners in 2004/2005. Traditional materials have been used throughout and the character of the property has been maintained.
The presbytery has a kitchen, a split level dining and living room, a study and storage and laundry rooms on the ground floor. The open staircase leads to the first floor where there are four bedrooms, two of which have bathrooms ensuite. The two remaining bedrooms share a bathroom and there is an additional guest bathroom. The church, which measures about 75 square metres, is attached to the vicarage and is used as lounge. Below the house is an old crypt which is ideal for storage or as a wine cellar.
The independent, two storey guest cottage is located below the main house and about 100 metres distant from it. On the ground floor is an open plan kitchen, dining and living area the latter having a fireplace and access to the terrace. On this same floor is the guest bathroom and laundry. Upstairs is a master bedroom complete with ensuite bathroom and external access as well both a double and a single bedroom which share a bathroom.
The properties are surrounded by three hectares of land within which is a mature garden planted with lavender and rosemary and an olive grove with thirty trees.
NB: More land, with a number of ruins to restore, is also for sale separately.
