The House of Actors of the Moscow Art Theater on Glinishchevsky Lane 5/7 is located in a historic building built in 1935-1938 by architects V.N. Vladimirova and G.I. Lutsky. The house was built for the housing and construction cooperative partnership of the Moscow Art Academic Theater and the theater named after him. Stanislavsky, many famous actors of that era lived in it. In 1938, the legendary theater director V.N. Nemirovich-Danchenko moved into the house. His memorial museum is currently located in Apartment No. 52.
The residential complex House of Actors of the Moscow Art Theater on Glinishchevsky lane 5/7 combines elements of constructivism and Stalinist Empire. Rows of comfortable spacious loggias overlook the main facade of the eight-storey house, a continuous ribbon of balconies stretches along the eighth floor. The front entrances are decorated with black marble, the portals are decorated with flower garlands made in the sgraffito technique. The highlight of the construction was a 14-storey stepped tower towering over the main building, in the lower part of which there is a travel arch resembling a triumphal one.
