The Soviet Composer residential complex on 10 Chayanov Street is an avant-garde building designed by architect G. M. Ludwig in 1934 specifically as housing for famous musicians. Among the famous residents are Aram Khachaturian, the author of the USSR anthem Alexandrov, the conductor of Mosfilm Hamburg, the head of the Union of Composers Tikhon Khrennikov, the first music teacher of Prokofiev Reinhold Glier.
The facade of the Soviet Composer residential complex on 10 Chayanov Street is divided by protruding volumes of stairwells with slit-like windows.
